Transparent scoring

How the Texas Rated Score works.

The launch score is intentionally simple and auditable: public rating strength is adjusted for review depth, and a small verified-profile-data component becomes available after ownership verification.

85

Adjusted reputation

Up to 85 points. Ratings are Bayesian-adjusted toward a market prior so a 5.0 score with very few reviews does not automatically outrank established companies.

10

Review depth

Up to 10 points. More public reviews increase confidence, with diminishing returns so enormous review counts do not overwhelm the score.

5

Verified profile data

Up to 5 points after a company claims and verifies accurate business information. Unclaimed companies receive zero profile-data points.

0

Pay-to-rank points

Advertising, accepting leads, installing the emblem or linking to Texas Rated do not increase the score.

Current ratings and review counts are a dated public-listing snapshot from August 28, 2026. They are not presented as live values. Texas Rated should refresh the dataset on a recurring schedule.
